The Next Phase
March 15th is fast approaching, and our doors to the Winter Freeze Shelter will be closing. Our volunteers and staff are working hard to find housing or more permanent solutions for the guests in our shelter. We attempt to contact family, friends, or selfless neighbors that may accept our individuals into their homes and allow them a chance to get back on their feet. Unfortunately, we cannot provide this solution to every guest, but we continue to work with them after the shelter closes by giving them tents, sleeping bags, blankets, clothes, hygiene products, etc., as their need arises. We also continue to work with the individuals to search for better solutions, whether that be housing, a job, or a warm meal. It warms our hearts when we are able to help better these individuals lives and allow them to grow and phase out of homelessness. Our community, neighbors, and friends are the a huge part of these success stories and we are beyond grateful. The overpouring of love and support that exists through donations and volunteering reassures us that we are not alone in our fight against homelessness for youth and adults.
